“AKOM” was established in the mid-1940s as “ASSOCIATED KNITTED OUTERWEAR MILLS, INC.” in New York State, USA. The brand “AKOM” Knitwear was born from the initials of the company name.

This collaborative piece with AKOM is based on the pattern of a 1950s Freedom Sleeve Body.

• Knitted on rare, small-gauge circular knitting machines from the 1970s

• The fabric is brushed while still in the tubular form using a special brushing machine to prevent it from unraveling

• Inspired by vintage AKOM Freedom Sleeve sweatshirts

• The fabric is bleached and washed at high temperatures using an old-style Wins machine

• Made in Japan
